Residents at Laureate Court, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a fantastic afternoon out at Owlerton Greyhound Stadium in Sheffield on Sunday 19 July 2026, joined by staff and family members for a memorable trip.
Organised by the Deputy Manager, the outing gave residents the opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery, spend time with loved ones, and socialise with staff and fellow residents. Everyone enjoyed watching the races, having a friendly bet, chatting together, and relaxing with a cold drink in the sunshine.
The atmosphere was amazing, with lots of cheering and laughter as residents supported the dogs. A special highlight was when one of our residents had the honour of presenting the winning dog with its trophy.
Hannah Farnsworth, Admin, said: “It was wonderful to see residents enjoying themselves, laughing, and creating special memories with staff, family members, and friends.”
Residents loved the afternoon, and family members commented how lovely it was to spend time with their loved ones in a different setting.
