Residents and staff at The Mill House care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, saddled up for an unforgettable afternoon of country music, laughter and Western-themed fun as the home celebrated with a lively Cowboy Party on Friday, 31 July.
The conservatory was transformed into the Wild West with themed balloons, banners and decorations, while staff embraced the occasion by dressing in cowboy attire, complete with denim, plaid shirts, boots and cowboy hats.
The highlight of the afternoon was a live performance from local singers Jay and Ross, a talented married couple who entertained everyone with a fantastic selection of classic country songs.
Jay and Ross said: “It’s been a pleasure to sing to you all and meet you. Thank you for having us! We love what we do, and it’s been a pleasure to yeehaw with you all!”
Creating opportunities for residents to enjoy music, dress up, and spend quality time together helps promote wellbeing and strengthen friendships.
