St Michael’s Court residents, part of the Runwood Homes group, have been making the most of the summer with a month-long variety of creative, social, and refreshing activities.
The beginning of August has already been packed with things to do, including flower arranging, colouring, drawing, trips to the coffee shop and garden centre.
One particularly creative activity was introduced by Steph, the home’s Activities Coordinator, who brought the idea of laminated flower arranging to the home. Residents enjoyed creating beautiful floral displays on the windows.
Residents also enjoyed colouring Bee-themed bookmarks and spending time discussing what they would like to write back to their pen pals.
Keeping residents hydrated and comfortable has been especially important during the warmer weather, so activities have included plenty of opportunities to stay cool and enjoy refreshments; Ice cream has proved particularly popular!
The activities have also helped residents remain physically and mentally engaged. Music is always at the home, with residents and team members enjoying a good song and dance together.
