Residents and staff from Caldwell Grange, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a trip into the local community for a special birthday celebration.
The group went to a newly opened local café. After enjoying some gentle exercise and fresh air along the way, residents settled outside in the shade for a well-deserved drink and the chance to celebrate resident Stephan’s birthday together.
During the walk, resident Stephan shared memories of the local area and spoke about how different it had once been, recalling buildings and shops that either did not exist or had very different uses in years gone by.
Activities such as community walks are an important part of life at Caldwell Grange. Gentle walking can help residents remain active and support mobility and physical wellbeing, while outings provide valuable opportunities to socialise, build relationships and stay connected to the wider community.
