Liberty House Summer Fayre Brings Residents, Families and Community Together

Liberty House Care Home welcomed residents, families, staff and members of the local community for its much-loved annual Summer Fayre, bringing everyone together for an afternoon filled with entertainment, laughter and dancing.

Guests enjoyed a variety of stalls selling handmade cards, finger-knitted animals and arts and crafts created by residents over recent months. Residents proudly helped to run the craft stall, while visitors also enjoyed a tombola, freshly made popcorn, hotdogs, tea and cake.

Live entertainment added to the celebrations, with a returning singer performing a selection of classic songs that had residents and guests singing and dancing along in the courtyard.

Kelley, Lifestyle Coordinator at Liberty House, said: “Our Summer Fayre was a huge success. Residents, family members, staff and the community had a wonderful time. It was amazing seeing so many people there to support the home.”

Andrea, a resident, added: “We had a lovely time at the Summer Fayre. I helped out on one of the stalls and the singer was very good and kept everyone entertained.”

Fellow resident Beryl said: “I had such a good time. I looked around all the stalls, spoke to lots of people and then did some dancing in the courtyard.”

The annual event provides residents with an opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends, socialise, stay active and build new connections within the local community.
