Greenbanks Care Home and Victoria House Day Centre, both part of the Runwood Homes group, brought the local community together for a joint summer fête.
The idea for the event grew out of a residents’ meeting, where residents discussed ways to welcome more people to Greenbanks and build stronger links with Victoria House Day Centre and the wider community.
More than 100 people visited the fête, where they enjoyed an afternoon of live music, dancing, bingo and refreshments.
Families and community members commented on how lovely it was to bring everyone together in a different setting.
Events such as the summer fête play an important role at Greenbanks Care Home and Victoria House Day Centre, providing opportunities for meaningful social interaction while strengthening relationships with families, friends and the wider local community.
