Residents of Humfrey Lodge care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a visit to Rayne Station, where they had the opportunity to take in the character of the historic railway and experience a little piece of the area’s heritage.
A visit to the Booking Hall Café followed, giving everyone the chance to relax and enjoy refreshments in a welcoming setting.
Barbara, a resident at Humfrey Lodge, said: “I really enjoyed this trip. It was interesting to visit somewhere with so much local history and have the chance to look around the old station. Finishing the morning with a nice cup of tea and a chat made it even more enjoyable.”
For residents, minibus outings like this provide a wonderful opportunity to stay connected with the wider community and enjoy meaningful experiences together.
