Residents of Mulberry Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes group and staff were delighted to welcome the ladies of the Inner Wheel Club of Luton North for a special planting ceremony to commemorate UN International Day of Peace.
Together, residents, staff and members of the Inner Wheel Club planted a beautiful peace rose, creating a lasting reminder of the importance of peace, kindness and togetherness.
The occasion provided Mulberry Court residents with an opportunity to reflect on their own memories and experiences, share stories and talk about what peace means to them. As the rose grows and blooms, it will serve as a lasting reminder that small acts of kindness and understanding can make a meaningful difference.
The visit to Mulberry Court also provided a wonderful opportunity for the home to strengthen its connection with the local community, bringing people together around a shared message of peace and hope.
For the Mulberry Court residents, the peace rose will remain a special symbol within the garden, representing reflection and the importance of coming together.
