Residents at Longview Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together for a fun filled Around the World Day, with Italy taking centre stage for a day of food, music, quizzes, arts and crafts.
The home was transformed into an Italian-inspired celebration, with staff dressing in the colours of the Italian flag and Longview residents enjoying a range of activities designed to bring everyone together. The day included Italian-themed quizzes, arts and crafts, Italian music and plenty of flag waving.
A special Italian lunch was also prepared for the occasion, with residents choosing between spaghetti bolognese or pizza, accompanied by an olive side salad and finished with sorbet for dessert. The menu was a particular highlight, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy something different.
The music, food and quizzes encouraged residents to share memories and experiences and the Longview residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
For Longview, the Around the World Day provided a welcome change from the usual routine, giving residents the chance to learn, reminisce and enjoy new experiences together while celebrating Italian culture.
