Residents at Lancaster Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a busy September filled with activities and opportunities to spend time with friends, family and staff.
As part of the month’s activities, Lancaster Court residents and staff hosted a special Macmillan Coffee Afternoon in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Staff baked a selection of delicious homemade cakes and wore green to show their support, while residents enjoyed the afternoon with tasty treats, coffee and a range of fun games.
One of the highlights of the Macmillan Coffee Afternoon, was a lively game of Hot Potato, with residents getting involved in the friendly competition and having the chance to win prizes. The Lancaster Court residents were proud to play their part in raising money for an important cause.
Later in the month, Lancaster Court residents enjoyed a minibus trip to Aylett Nurseries Garden Centre, where they spent time exploring the beautiful plants, flowers and garden pots. The outing gave residents the chance to enjoy the outdoors and spend time in the local community.
Activities and outings such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning and the minibus trip to the Garden Centre Trip, are at the heart of Lancaster Court, because they provide residents with different ways to enjoy and stay connected with the people and places around them.
September was a month filled with enjoyment, giving residents plenty of opportunities to take part and make happy memories with those around them.
