The team from Highview Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group came together to take part in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk in London, raising nearly £1,300 to support people affected by dementia.
The team was made up of Hanna, Manager at Highview Lodge, Lisa, Manager at Ashwood, Laura, Administrator at Ashwood, and eight other friends who joined them for the challenge. Together, they completed the Memory Walk on 4 October, taking part to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The fundraiser was particularly meaningful to the Highview Lodge and Ashwood group, as they all have experience working with residents living with dementia and have personal connections to the condition through loved ones who are living with dementia.
The team wanted to turn their shared experiences into something positive by taking on the challenge together and raising money to support the important work of the Alzheimer’s Society.
So far, the Highview Lodge and Ashwood group have raised nearly £1,300, which was a fantastic highlight of the challenge and a reflection of how much the cause means to everyone involved.
Hanna, Lisa, Laura and their friends were proud to complete the walk together and make a difference for people living with dementia and their families.
The Memory Walk was a meaningful day for everyone involved, with the Highview Lodge and Ashwood group delighted to have raised such an incredible amount for a cause that is close to their hearts.
