Rosedale Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, created a memorable surprise for resident Anne and her husband as they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on 18 June 2026.
The team arranged a private anniversary lunch in the garden, transforming the space with a decorated marquee, flowers and beautiful table settings to create a romantic and peaceful setting for the couple to enjoy time together.
Sian Jelbart, Home Manager at Rosedale Court, said:

The Rosedale Court team worked together to plan and prepare the surprise, with Anne, her husband and their family at the heart of the celebration. The atmosphere was warm and emotional, with family members moved to tears by the care and effort that went into creating the special occasion.
The highlight was seeing Anne’s reaction and the happiness she shared with her husband. She said she was “so happy” and loved every minute of the celebration, especially enjoying a quiet lunch together while holding hands in their private garden setting.
