Bennett Lodge care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, is thrilled to announce the success of its Annual Summer Fete, held on Saturday, 17th August. The event was a remarkable day filled with joy, laughter, and a strong sense of community as residents, relatives, staff, and local community members gathered to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon while raising funds for the residents’ amenities fund.
The Summer Fete featured a variety of stalls run by both community members and Bennett Lodge’s own residents, relatives, and staff. The enthusiasm was palpable as everyone pitched in to contribute to the day’s success. Highlights included a lively raffle boasting 37 fantastic prizes, with the first prize being a bottle of champagne and a delightful afternoon tea for two at Orsett Hall. The event also featured live entertainment with dancers, a bouncy castle for the little ones, a delicious barbecue, and many more exciting activities that kept attendees engaged and entertained throughout the day.
What made this event truly special was the dedication and participation of the residents and their relatives. Many residents took the initiative to run their own stalls with the support of their families, who volunteered their time. The staff at Bennett Lodge also played a crucial role, dedicating their own time to ensure the event ran smoothly. The Lifestyle Coordinators worked tirelessly to coordinate with the local community, securing wonderful prizes generously donated by local businesses.
