Residents at The Mill House, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a special visit from Cuddly Cavies on 6th July 2026, who brought six adorable guinea pigs for an afternoon of animal therapy, relaxation, and companionship.
Diana from Cuddly Cavies visited residents in their rooms before welcoming everyone to the conservatory, where residents enjoyed stroking, holding, and spending quality time with the friendly guinea pigs.
The visit created a calm and joyful atmosphere, with many residents’ faces lighting up as they enjoyed the comfort and sensory benefits of interacting with the animals.
Daisy Dodsworth, Lifestyle Coordinator, said:
“Seeing everyone’s faces light up with love and care, and the instant relaxation from feeling how soft their fur was, was a truly special moment.”
Residents described the visit as “lovely”, “comforting”, and said they “wanted to hold them and take them home”.
