Residents at Liberty House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wonderful ladies’ afternoon lunch at Woodfield Farm on 22nd April 2026, creating laughter, and plenty of great conversation.
The outing was organised after resident Coral shared with Lifestyle Coordinator Kelley how much she enjoys a traditional carvery meal. Inspired by her suggestion, the team arranged the next minibus trip to Woodfield Farm pub restaurant, where Coral and fellow residents Margaret and Beryl were joined by other ladies from the home for a delicious lunch together.
The group travelled by minibus and enjoyed a full carvery followed by indulgent desserts, making the afternoon both relaxing and special. The atmosphere throughout the visit was warm and joyful, filled with laughter, and conversations between residents and staff.
Coral, Resident, said: “What a wonderful afternoon out. The sun was shining and I enjoyed a full carvery and a slice of cookies and cream cheesecake.”
Margaret, Resident, said: “It was lovely to have lunch out. I loved chatting to co-residents and finding out about their pasts and the carvery was delicious.”
Beryl, Resident, said: “I used to come to Woodfield Farm a lot for lunch but hadn’t been for a while, so I very much enjoyed going and having some great conversations.”
These outings are an important part of life at Liberty House, helping residents strengthen friendships, and enjoy meaningful experiences outside of the home. Shared trips like these encourage social connection and help create moments that residents can reflect on fondly.
Lifestyle Coordinators and residents alike agreed that the afternoon was a great success, with everyone returning home happy, full, and already looking forward to the next trip out.
