Residents and staff at Oldfield House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, got into the Halloween spirit with a pumpkin carving activity.
The idea for the session came from the care home team, who suggested pumpkin carving as a fun and engaging way for residents and staff to enjoy the season together. Working side by side, participants turned ordinary pumpkins into colourful, spooky, and funny creations, all while sharing stories, teasing each other about their carving skills, and cheering one another on.
Rozalia Csergo, Lifestyle Coordinator at Oldfield House Care Home, said:
“It’s a wonderful way for staff and residents to connect. Working together brings laughter and creativity, turning this simple activity into a great team effort.”
Resident Joyce added,
“I really enjoyed carving pumpkins. I like to be involved in all the happenings.”
The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with chatter, laughter, and the scent of fresh pumpkin, creating a warm and joyful environment that perfectly captured the spirit of Halloween at Oldfield House.
