Residents from Oldfield House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed a delightful minibus trip to Markham Grange Garden Centre in Doncaster on 19th May 2026.
The outing provided residents with the opportunity to explore the beautiful garden centre, enjoy a delicious meal, and spend quality time together while reconnecting with familiar local history and treasured memories.
One of the highlights of the visit was the impressive wall art displayed throughout the centre, celebrating Doncaster’s rich heritage. Residents particularly enjoyed admiring artwork featuring the area’s mining history, the iconic Flying Scotsman, and even Paddington Bear, sparking conversations and fond reminiscences throughout the day.
