Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, is celebrating Resident Ambassador Terry and his treasured scrapbook, which is filled with photographs, newspaper clippings and keepsakes capturing happy memories and special moments from his time at the home.
Terry has carefully built his scrapbook over the years, documenting the many activities, events and celebrations he has taken part in at Park View. Each page tells a story, preserving special moments and providing a lovely opportunity for residents, staff and visitors to look back on the experiences they have shared.
The idea to share the scrapbook came from Terry and his family, who recognised just how meaningful the collection had become. With support from the team at Park View, Terry has been able to showcase his memories and celebrate the important role that activities, friendships and community connections have played in his life.
As Resident Ambassador at Park View, Terry is always enthusiastic about getting involved in life at the home, and his scrapbook reflects his commitment to the Park View community.
Terry, resident at Park View, said, “I have always enjoyed taking part in activities and events at Park View, and over the years I have collected memories, photographs, and newspaper clippings in my scrapbook. It means a lot to me, and I am proud to be able to share it with others. Looking through the pages brings back many happy memories and reminds me of all the wonderful experiences and friendships I have made along the way.”
Bridie Hitches, Lifestyle Coordinator at Park View, added, “Terry’s scrapbook is something we truly treasure at Park View. It is filled with wonderful memories, photographs, and newspaper clippings that capture so many special moments from his time here. As our Resident Ambassador, Terry is always enthusiastic about getting involved in activities and events, and his scrapbook reflects the vibrant life of our home. We are delighted that he wishes to share it with others, as it not only tells his story but also celebrates the friendships, experiences, and memories that make Park View such a special place.”
The scrapbook is much more than a collection of photographs and newspaper clippings; it is a celebration of Terry’s life at Park View and the connections he has built along the way. Preserving personal memories is an important way to reminisce and allows for special moments to be enjoyed time and time again.
The team at Park View are delighted to celebrate Terry’s dedication to capturing these moments and sharing them with others.
