Residents and team members at Stafford Hall Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, embraced the sunshine on 23rd May with a joyful day of summer games, laughter, and friendship in the home’s beautiful garden, creating the perfect welcome for the newest member of their community.
The garden was transformed into a vibrant summer retreat, complete with a paddling pool, flamingo ball games, ice creams, lollies, refreshing drinks and even a shandy or two. Following an all-day breakfast, residents cooled off by dipping their feet in the paddling pool while enjoying music, laughter and one another’s company.
The day was made even more special as it welcomed Ken, Stafford Hall Care Home’s newest resident, who had arrived that very morning from another home. Residents immediately invited him to join the fun, making him feel at ease from the moment he arrived.
Ken shared: “It’s nice here.”
Ron added: “I love the garden,” while Elsie described the setting as “beautiful.”
The atmosphere throughout the day was filled with kindness, humour and genuine friendship — a reflection of the family-like environment at Stafford Hall Care Home.
