Residents, families, friends and team members at Highview Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a fantastic Summer Fete on 11 July, bringing everyone together for a fun-filled day in the sunshine.
There was something for all ages to enjoy, with a bouncy castle, face painting and Hook-a-Duck keeping younger visitors entertained, while adults relaxed and socialised in the popular Pimm’s tent. The BBQ was sizzling throughout the day, and the raffle and tombola created plenty of excitement, with prizes including gift sets, vouchers, wine and toiletries.
One of the standout moments came when one lucky carer incredibly won four raffle prizes in a row!
Darcey, Lifestyle Coordinator at Highview Lodge, said: “The atmosphere was fantastic. The children were laughing and playing, families and friends were relaxing together, and there were smiles all around.”
The Summer Fete is a long-standing tradition at Highview Lodge and is eagerly anticipated each year. It provides a wonderful opportunity to bring residents, their loved ones and the local community together to socialise, have fun and create special memories.
Family members, friends and residents all commented on how much they enjoyed the day. The fete also helped raise funds for Highview Lodge, which will support future activities and events that enhance residents’ wellbeing and quality of life.
