Residents from Orchard Blythe Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, shared a memorable day outdoors during a visit to Ash End Farm, as part of May’s dignity theme, “All Creatures Great and Small.”
The outing provided a great experience for residents as they had the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including feeding the lambs, holding chicks, visiting two newborn foals, watching an impressive falconry display, and cuddling rabbits and guinea pigs.
The atmosphere was lively, and everyone enjoyed being outside and seeing these amazing creatures. 
“This has been a wonderful experience,” shared one resident.
A family member added: “It was wonderful to see my mom feeding the goats.”
Staff echoed the sentiment, saying: “It has been a fantastic day out spent with the residents.”
Michelle, Lifestyle Coordinator at Orchard Blythe Care Home explained the importance of the event: “It’s so valuable for our residents to spend quality time with animals, their loved ones, and each other in a natural, stimulating environment.
