Frank Foster House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was bursting with colour, music, and warmth as residents and staff came together for a vibrant “Around the World” celebration, shining a spotlight on the beautiful culture of the Philippines.
The day offered residents a delightful cultural experience that brought everyone together through food, music, and tradition. The atmosphere was one of pure joy and community spirit as the home was transformed with Filipino-themed decorations, creating an immersive cultural experience for all.
Filipino staff proudly shared their heritage with residents. Traditional Filipino dishes were lovingly prepared and served, giving residents a taste of the authentic flavours of the Philippines.
Manel, staff member at Frank Foster House, shared, “I enjoyed bringing my culture and sharing our traditional dress. The residents also helped to make the delicious foods.”
The highlight of the event was the heartwarming dance and sing-along led by the Filipino team, which had residents clapping, smiling, and even joining in, a truly memorable and joyful moment.
