On Friday 18th July, Bramwell Care Home in Nottingham, part of the Runwood Homes Group, transformed into a vibrant coastal celebration as residents, families, and the wider community came together to enjoy the home’s annual Summer Fayre, this year with a joyful ‘Seaside’ theme.
The event was packed with seaside favourites, including classic fish and chips, refreshing ice cream, traditional beach doughnuts from the Chilwell Christ Church Scouts, and a variety of games and stalls. The garden came alive with paddling pools, water games, and beach-themed fun, offering residents a true taste of the seaside.
A standout moment was the delightful entertainment provided by Beeston Police Officers, who sang and danced in uniform with residents, creating a beautiful sense of unity, laughter, and joy.
The event was not only a success because of the community turnout but also thanks to the phenomenal dedication and passion of the Bramwell staff team. Their hard work, care, and tireless energy did not go unnoticed.
One heartfelt message from guest Karl Bloch perfectly summed up the impact of the team, “My wife and I have just returned from an afternoon party at Bramwell and yet again been astounded at the commitment, dedication, loyalty and enthusiasm of the staff there. We have frequently seen their care and compassion towards your residents. The staff are always smiling and prepared to go further than I would have expected of them. They have pulled together an extraordinary afternoon that was enjoyed by more than the residents.”

The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was jubilant, filled with music, dancing, laughter, and togetherness – a reflection of the outstanding teamwork and community spirit at Bramwell.
