Residents from the Daffodil Unit at Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wonderful outing to Pizza Hut in Colchester on 3rd November 2025. The trip offered residents the chance to try something new, share laughter, and enjoy a fun-filled dining experience together.
“The residents loved the opportunity to try some different foods for the day,” said the Lifestyle Coordinator at Park View Care Home. “They enjoyed it so much, they now want pizza added to our regular menu!”
The outing was inspired by suggestions made during a residents’ meeting, where the idea of a trip to a favourite local restaurant quickly gained enthusiasm. The atmosphere throughout the visit was described as amazing and filled with smiles, laughter, and the delicious aroma of freshly baked pizza.
Residents delighted in choosing their own toppings and sharing stories over lunch. The simple joy of good food and good company made it a great day for everyone involved.
This trip was a perfect reminder of how meaningful experiences, like sharing a meal together, can bring happiness and connection to community life.
