Residents, families, and staff at Highview Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together to celebrate Easter with a heartwarming day of activities filled with laughter, sweet treats, and cherished family moments.
The celebrations took place on Good Friday, 3 April 2026, and were thoughtfully organised to enable family and friends to attend. This allowed residents to spend valuable time with their loved ones, particularly their grandchildren, creating meaningful intergenerational memories.
The home was buzzing with excitement as residents enjoyed a variety of Easter-themed activities. This included an Easter-themed bingo session, baking delicious rice crispy cakes, and an Easter egg hunt that delighted both residents and visiting children. Adding to the celebrations, Highview Lodgereceived a generous donation of Easter eggs, ensuring that every resident received a special treat.
One of the highlights of the day was when the “big Easter egg trolley” was wheeled into the Tree Top Lounge. Residents were amazed by the abundance of chocolate, with many commenting that they had “never seen so much chocolate” in their lives.
Celebrations like these play a vital role in enhancing residents’ wellbeing, strengthening community connections, and creating joyful shared experiences.
