Residents at Leawood Manor Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, had a wonderful day out on 24th April with a special visit to J & J Alpacas, enjoying a relaxing and engaging experience surrounded by nature, animals, and sunshine.
The trip gave residents the opportunity to get up close with the alpacas, feed them, and learn fascinating facts about these gentle animals. Set in a beautiful location with perfect weather, the visit created plenty of smiles and laughter for everyone involved.
The outing was designed to support residents’ wellbeing by encouraging social interaction, new experiences, and mental stimulation. Activities like this help promote inclusion, strengthen friendships, and bring residents together in a meaningful way.
The idea for the trip was organised by Sue as part of Leawood Manor’s ongoing commitment to creating enriching experiences for residents and supporting positive wellbeing.
