Westwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is delighted to share the success of its recent Chinese-themed dining experience, held on 28 April 2026 between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. The event brought together residents, staff, and families for an evening of cultural exploration, delicious cuisine, and social connection.
The event was organised by Chloe and Natasha, Lifestyle Co-ordinators at Westwood, as part of the home’s ongoing programme of themed activities designed to engage residents and introduce new experiences. Speaking about the evening, Chloe and Natasha said:
“Our lovely residents really enjoyed their Chinese food evening—they love trying different foods.”
Residents were treated to a selection of homemade Chinese dishes, freshly prepared by the home’s chef, Glenn. The day centre was transformed with themed decorations, creating an immersive atmosphere that enhanced the dining experience.
Events like this are a regular feature at Westwood Care Home, with themed evenings held every few months to provide variety and excitement. These gatherings encourage residents to socialise, explore different cultures, and enjoy meaningful shared experiences.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was described as “amazing,” with the entire event standing out as a highlight for everyone involved.
