Runwood Homes are delighted to celebrate the successful launch of their very first community poetry book, bringing together heartfelt poems written by residents, staff and family members from across the group.
The special collection showcases creativity, memories, emotions and personal stories from communities across the group, highlighting the incredible talent and shared experiences within their care homes. Since its release, the poetry book has been warmly received by residents, relatives, team members, and visitors with many enjoying reading the touching and inspiring contributions together.
The project was created to encourage creativity, connection and self-expression, while providing meaningful opportunities for residents and loved ones to share their voices through poetry. Contributions ranged from reflections on family, friendship and love to poems celebrating everyday moments, memories and life within the homes.
Communities across the group have embraced the book, with poetry readings, group discussions and shared storytelling sessions taking place within homes to celebrate the publication. Residents have particularly enjoyed seeing their own work published alongside contributions from staff, relatives and fellow residents from other communities.
Runwood Homes hope the poetry collection will become a treasured keepsake for everyone involved and inspire even more creative projects across their communities in the future.
