Residents at Park View care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed an afternoon of sunshine and sweet treats as they celebrated National Ice Cream Day with a visit from a local ice cream van.
The event was made possible thanks to the generosity of Jenny, the daughter of one of Park View’s former residents, who kindly treated every resident to an ice cream. Jenny has generously supported this annual tradition for several years, and it has become one of the highlights of the summer that residents eagerly anticipate.
Resident Pat summed up the afternoon perfectly, saying: “It was such a nice surprise to enjoy this treat on this lovely sunny day.”
