On the 8th December, Ashwood care home in Hertfordshire, celebrated the holiday season in style with its annual Christmas Fete. The event, held in the home’s courtyard, proved to be a great success, bringing joy and festive cheer to staff, residents, and their relatives.
The courtyard was magically transformed into a Christmas market, with twinkling lights, cake stalls, hot chocolates, a BBQ, and mulled wine. Staff members showcased their creativity by setting up stalls featuring handmade crochet toys, Christmas decorations, and artisanal mugs and cups.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from everyone including staff, residents, and their relatives. The Christmas Fete not only provided an opportunity for everyone to come together but also offered a platform for staff to showcase their talents and crafts.
Hanna Anderson, the Home Manager, expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended the Christmas Fete. She said: “Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Fete. It was wonderful to see so many happy smiley faces. Some of the moves on the dancefloor were amazing! We raised a great amount of money which will be put towards future trips out and events in the home.”
The highlight of the evening was the live entertainment that had everyone on their feet, dancing and enjoying the festive tunes.
