Carolyne House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, welcomed residents, families, friends, volunteers and members of the local community for its annual Summer Fête, raising an impressive £2,615 for the home’s residents’ activity fund.
Held on 20 June 2026, the much-anticipated event brought the community together for a day packed with entertainment and family fun. Visitors enjoyed a variety of stalls, live music, a barbecue, refreshments, an ice cream van, traditional games and a bouncy castle, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.
The annual fête is one of the highlights of the Carolyne House calendar, providing an opportunity for people of all ages to come together while supporting activities and experiences that enrich the lives of residents.
Guests praised the event, with comments including: “Well done to all the staff on a great day,” “Great food and atmosphere,” and “The band sounded amazing.”
Funds raised from the event will be used to support future activities, outings and entertainment for residents, helping to create meaningful experiences and enhance everyday life at Carolyne House.
