Eastham Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the ECC Gold PROSPER Award, recognising its outstanding commitment to resident safety and wellbeing. The home is one of only six care homes in the Essex region to receive this distinguished accreditation.
The award marks Eastham’s successful collaboration with the PROSPER programme, which supports care homes across Essex to improve safety outcomes and enhance quality of care. Through the implementation of targeted SMART action plans and a whole-team approach, Eastham has demonstrated exceptional achievements in key safety areas, including:
- Significant reduction in falls among residents
- Zero pressure areas
- Zero urinary tract infections (UTIs)
These accomplishments highlight the home’s dedication to providing a safe, supportive, and high-quality living environment for all residents.
“We are immensely proud to receive this Gold PROSPER Award,” said Home Manager, Karolyn Sisto. “Being recognised as one of only six care homes in Essex to achieve this standard is a testament to our entire team’s hard work, vigilance, and commitment to our residents’ safety and wellbeing.”
The success was led by the Eastham team alongside Resident Safety PROSPER Champion Harry Heasman, whose involvement played a pivotal role in maintaining consistent safety monitoring and continuous improvement across the home.
The atmosphere during the celebration was filled with pride and happiness, as staff and residents joined together to acknowledge the significance of this achievement.
Eastham Care Home, looks forward to continuing its close partnership with the PROSPER team to sustain and enhance its high standards of care.
