Two dedicated members of staff at Braywood Gardens care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, have successfully completed a 10km sponsored walk, raising £200 to support activities and experiences for residents at the home.
On 29 June 2026, Lifestyle Coordinators Lydia and Michelle took on the challenge, walking 10 kilometres around their local town and within the care home itself. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the pair raised £200, with every penny going towards enhancing life for residents at Braywood Gardens.
The sponsored walk was driven by the team’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for those who live at the home, demonstrating the dedication that extends far beyond their day-to-day roles.
The atmosphere throughout the challenge was described as euphoric, with the biggest highlight coming as Lydia and Michelle crossed the finish line together after completing the full distance.
The funds raised will help support future activities and initiatives at Braywood Gardens, ensuring residents continue to enjoy engaging experiences and special moments throughout the year.
