Runwood Homes Head Office has gone the extra mile for an important cause, raising over £2,995 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in the charity’s Walk 60 Miles in June Challenge.
The team, proudly named “Bev’s Babes,” was inspired by Bev, Associate Director of Finance, who encouraged colleagues across Head Office to lace up their walking shoes and take on the month-long challenge. Together, the team committed to walking 60 miles throughout June, all while raising vital funds to support life-saving cancer research.
Thanks to the generosity of friends, family, colleagues, and supporters, Bev’s Babes exceeded expectations by raising an impressive £2,995 for Cancer Research UK. Every pound raised will help fund pioneering research into the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.
Speaking about the challenge, Bev said:
“I was overwhelmed by the support from everyone who joined the team and those who donated so generously. It was fantastic to see colleagues encouraging one another throughout the month. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved as a team.”
