Residents, families, and members of the local community came together to celebrate Pride at Windle Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, with an afternoon of music, dancing, and colourful festivities in the home’s garden.
To mark Pride Month, the Windle Court team transformed the garden into a colourful celebration, complete with vibrant decorations, homemade refreshments, rainbow-themed treats, and live entertainment.
The Pride party was organised as the highlight of the home’s Pride Week activities. While residents had already participated in creative sessions, including Pride-themed arts and crafts, the team wanted to bring everyone together for a larger community event celebrating inclusion and friendship.
Residents said they particularly enjoyed celebrating outdoors with their families and loved the live entertainment, while relatives praised the welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to see their loved ones so engaged and happy.
The Pride celebration reflects Windle Court Care Home’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful experiences that bring people together, celebrate individuality and ensure residents continue to enjoy fulfilling lives within their home and wider community.
