Residents and staff at Silvanna Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently welcomed members of the local community to a warm and friendly coffee morning, bringing people together for tea, coffee, cakes, and conversation.
The event took place on 13 May 2026 as part of the home’s community events programme, designed to strengthen connections between residents and the wider community.
Residents, staff, and visitors enjoyed a relaxed and joyful atmosphere throughout the morning, with several members of the public joining in and spending time getting to know residents and learning more about life at the home.
Leah and Deby, Lifestyle Coordinators at Silvanna Court, said the event was important in helping the public see the welcoming environment within the home while giving residents the opportunity to share their experiences and connect with others in the community.
One community member commented:
“This is such a lovely event, I’m so glad I came.”
A particularly touching highlight of the morning came when a local community member gifted residents a collection of beautifully hand-knitted woollen lap blankets. The thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated by residents and staff alike.
The coffee morning reflected Silvanna Court’s ongoing commitment to building meaningful community relationships and creating enjoyable social opportunities for residents.
