Special healthcare appreciation event receives outstanding success at Harlow care home

Alexandra House care home in Harlow achieved outstanding success at their special healthcare appreciation event last week.

The care home in Harlow invited over 20 professionals from varying specialities in healthcare professions. In attendance were community matrons, the GP surgery, district nurses, the hospital discharge team, physiotherapists and the mental health team.

Alexandra House provided a buffet style lunch, tea, coffee and a variety of delicious snacks as a special token of appreciation to express their thanks for all the incredible work these teams do in the community.

The home ordered branded thermos mugs that attendees can use to pop in for a refill of coffee whenever they are on duty in the area and in need of a recharge. Care homes often call on emergency service personnel for support which is invaluable and hugely appreciated.

Home Manager for Alexandra House, Mirela Taban, said: “It has been great fun launching our special healthcare appreciation event at Alexandra House. The healthcare personnel in our community are so incredibly valuable and supportive and we wanted to let them know how much we appreciate everything they do. To all who attended, and to those who could not make it, thank you for all your hard work and dedication. We look forward to many more events in the future.”

Runwood Homes’ are continually finding new ways to connect with their community, either by hosting events at the home, getting out in the town with Runwood Homes branded goodies, and playing an active part in community events and initiatives.
