Woodbury Court care home maintains ‘Good’ CQC rating

The team at Woodbury Court care home, in Laindon, embraced the celebrations, following the positive news on their recent CQC inspection.

The team were overjoyed to maintain their ‘good’ CQC rating for the second time in a row.

CQC reported that the service was well-led and received a good status, commenting that it is ‘promoting a positive culture that is person-centred, open, inclusive and empowering, which achieves good outcomes for people.’

The report also said: ‘people, relatives and staff spoke positively about the culture and management of the service’ and included comments from relatives that said: ‘the management work above and beyond, the communication is excellent and they listen, care and keep you updated.’

Mel Oliver, Home Manager for Woodbury Court, and her wider team, have worked exceptionally hard to keep strategies and processes in place to maintain a good service and were delighted to see the hard work from everyone in the home reflected in their rating.

Mel said: ‘We have all worked so hard over the last few years at Woodbury Court and we are thrilled to continue to maintain a positive GOOD rating with CQC in all key areas. I believe that resident, relative and staff involvement in the daily operations has really contributed to our success’.

I am thrilled to have led the team through this and now we are proud to share our success within the home, the community and our health care professionals.”
