Residents from Redbond Lodge care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, were delighted to enjoy a very special lunchtime treat, thanks to the generosity of a much-loved local business, Zer Fish & Chips in Great Dunmow.
Owner Ilyas Aygun and his daughter Dondu kindly offered to provide a complimentary fish-and-chip lunch for over 80 residents. Before the event, they visited the home to personally speak with residents, taking the time to ask each person about their preferred meal choices to ensure everyone could enjoy their favourite dish.
The thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated by residents and staff alike, highlighting the strong community that exists in Great Dunmow.
“We are so lucky to have such a close friendship within our local community,” said a spokesperson for the home.
Residents of Redbond Lodge thoroughly enjoyed their meals, and the day served as a wonderful reminder that simple acts of kindness can create lasting memories.
