Lancaster Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently ended their Pride Month celebrations with a joyful and inclusive event on Sunday 27th June. Residents, relatives, and staff came together to mark National Bingo Day with a special “Pride Bingo” session, followed by live entertainment featuring a singer and dancing in the afternoon.

Lancaster Court was filled with bright colours as everyone expressed themselves through their clothing, celebrating diversity and the importance of love and inclusiveness. The atmosphere was full of laughter, love, and a sense of freedom to be oneself without judgement.

Lisa Meeks, Senior Home Manager at Lancaster Court, said, “We wanted to celebrate pride by expressing ourselves through our clothing by wearing bright colours to show our diversity and that we are all different. Pride is about inclusiveness and celebrating love, no matter who it is – love for each other, love for your family and love for yourself.”

Residents enjoyed dancing, and staff dressed up to express themselves, making the day a memorable highlight for all involved. One resident shared, “Love wins every time, and the room was full of love, joy and laughter.”

The Pride event at Lancaster Court was a heartfelt celebration of diversity, community spirit, and acceptance.
