Residents at Chelmunds Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed a heartwarming activity with children from Bishop Wilson Primary School.

On Tuesday 24th June, students and staff from Bishop Wilson Primary School joined Chelmunds Court residents for an arts and crafts session, painting decorative rocks to brighten up the home’s garden and courtyard. The visit was arranged by Chelmunds’ Court staff, who set up painting stations and supported both residents and children throughout the activity.

Sheila, a resident at Chelmunds Court, shared her delight:
“I absolutely enjoyed the time, and the children were all adorable and helpful!”

The joyful atmosphere was filled with laughter and conversation, as the young visitors and residents painted, swapped stories, and formed genuine connections. Everyone played their part in creating a vibrant display of teamwork and creativity. The painted rocks now decorate the garden, serving as a cheerful reminder of the smiles and bonds shared on the day.

The stand-out moment was the genuine connection between the residents and children as they painted and shared stories — a true testament to the power of community spirit.
