Residents, staff, and families at Loganberry Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together in the Heather Lounge to host a heartfelt Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event brought the community together over tea, coffee, and plenty of cake—all in support of those affected by cancer.

“Cancer affects one in two people, so it’s a cause that touches most of us at some point in our lives,” Naomi Cranmer, Lifestyle Coordinator at Loganberry Lodge said. “It was lovely to see everyone sharing stories and supporting each other while contributing to such an important charity.”

The event was part of the nationwide Macmillan Coffee Morning initiative and saw high participation across the Runwood Homes Group.

Residents shared their joy throughout the morning:

“So wonderful to see so many people come together for the cause,” said Janet, a resident.
“Can’t beat a good cup of tea and a slice of cake,” added June, smiling.
“Such an important cause—it’s wonderful that you’ve hosted this,” said Ann.

The atmosphere was described as friendly, happy, and engaged, with one visitor commenting, “It’s events like these that have kept me alive—thank you for hosting.”

The team at Loganberry Lodge are proud to have supported Macmillan and look forward to continuing to raise awareness and funds for causes that matter deeply to their residents and families.
