Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, proudly hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, uniting residents, staff, and members of the local community for a day filled with warmth, generosity, and a shared purpose — to support Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event offered an inviting space where guests enjoyed coffee, delicious cakes, and heartfelt conversation, all in aid of a cause that touches countless lives. The community at Park View Care Home successfully raised £120 to support Macmillan’s vital services, including specialist nursing, financial advice, and emotional support for individuals and families affected by cancer.
The amazing team of staff at Park View Care Home all came together to help make the event a success.
The Lifestyle Co-Ordinator, shared:
“Organising this coffee morning was a truly rewarding experience. From reaching out to local supporters to arranging the cakes and decorations, every step was filled with excitement and purpose. Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces and knowing we were helping such an incredible charity made all the effort worthwhile. I’m so grateful to everyone who contributed — it was a beautiful example of what we can achieve when we come together.”
The deputy Manager also added:
“It was a pleasure to support our Lifestyle Co-Ordinator in organising such a meaningful event. From helping send off for the Macmillan pack to decorating the space and making coffees throughout the day, it was truly a team effort. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and seeing everyone come together for such an important cause was incredibly uplifting. I’m proud to have played a part in making the day special for our residents and community.”
The home Manager reflected on the impact of the event, stating:
“It was truly inspiring to see our community come together for such an important cause. The warmth, generosity, and kindness shown by everyone was overwhelming. Cancer affects so many lives and knowing that our small efforts can help make a difference is incredibly humbling. I’m deeply proud of our team, our residents, and everyone who supported this event — it was a beautiful reminder of the power of compassion.”
