Mollie the dog

Rose House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, residents were treated to a day of warmth, comfort, and wagging tails during a recent Pet Therapy session held on 14 November 2025. The special visitor, Mollie, the much-loved dog belonging to Diane, Domestic Assistant at Rose House, brought joy and companionship to everyone she met.

Diane, who kindly brought Mollie in for the day, shared:
“It was wonderful to see how much the residents enjoyed spending time with Mollie. She has such a calming effect and really brightened the room.”

The event, embraced enthusiastically by staff and residents alike, showcased the strong community spirit at Rose House. Team members joined residents throughout the visit, enjoying cuddles, playtime, and plenty of shared smiles with their furry guest.

Pet Therapy is well recognised for its positive impact on wellbeing, helping to reduce stress, lift mood, and encourage social interaction. Mollie’s gentle and affectionate presence created a warm and relaxed atmosphere, sparking conversations and fond memories of cherished pets from years gone by.

This initiative reflects Rose House’s ongoing commitment to enriching the lives of residents through meaningful and engaging activities. By incorporating Pet Therapy into the care programme, the home continues to provide uplifting opportunities for connection, comfort, and enjoyment.

The day was filled with laughter, calm moments of reflection, and heart-warming interactions, an experience that residents and staff alike enjoyed.
