Residents from Westwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, embraced the festive spirit on 1 December 2025 with a delightful trip to Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
A group of residents enjoyed browsing the shops, admiring the Christmas displays, and choosing gifts for their loved ones. Speaking about the experience, residents shared, “We have had a wonderful day looking in different shops and at the Christmas decorations.”
The outing, supported by Westwood staff, was arranged after the ladies expressed their wish to visit Meadowhall for some Christmas shopping. Ensuring residents can enjoy meaningful days out is an important part of Westwood’s commitment to enhancing wellbeing.
The atmosphere throughout the trip was described as amazing. These outings are so valuable for resident wellbeing, and it was clear how much joy the day brought. Lifestyle Coordinators, Natasha and Chloe commented that “the whole day was just wonderful.”
