Residents at Chelmunds Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a truly special and emotional moment on Christmas Day as they came together to open festive gifts, generously donated by families and members of the local community.
The gift-giving celebration was made possible thanks to the kindness of Sue and Andy, a residents’ family, who donated cosy jumpers, and Rita, a valued member of the local community, who kindly provided presents for all residents. Although the gifts were delivered to Chelmunds Court a week earlier, they were saved for Christmas Day to ensure residents could enjoy opening them together on the special occasion.
Staff supported residents by organising and distributing the gifts, assisting as presents were opened, and sharing heartfelt thanks with the donors for their generosity. The atmosphere throughout the home was warm, emotional, and full of gratitude, with smiles, laughter, and appreciation shared by everyone involved.
