Residents and staff at Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together on the 12th of May 2026 to celebrate International Nurses Day and recognise the dedication and compassion of the home’s nursing team.
The celebration, organised by Lifestyle Coordinator Diane, saw residents actively involved in preparing thoughtful gifts and treats for nurses as a way of thanking them for the exceptional care and support they provide every day.
Residents also shared in the celebrations, with one commenting that it was “nice for the residents to share for these hard-working nurses.”
The event created an uplifting and positive atmosphere throughout the home, with one of the standout moments being the visible gratitude and appreciation shown by the nursing team as they received their gifts.
International Nurses Day is celebrated annually at Park View as an opportunity to recognise the invaluable contribution nurses make to the lives of residents and to thank them for their ongoing dedication and compassion.
