Park View, part of the Runwood Homes group, hosted its annual Summer Fete on 11 July 2026, welcoming residents, staff, families, friends and members of the local community for a fantastic day of celebration, entertainment and togetherness.
The event was organised to raise money for the home while creating a memorable experience for everyone who attended. The day was filled with laughter, music and plenty of happy moments, with residents enjoying time outdoors in the sunshine with their loved ones.
Guests were treated to a brilliant performance from Levi Ldn, whose music had everyone singing, clapping and smiling. There was also a delicious BBQ, colourful face painting, a visit from the ice cream van and lots of opportunities for everyone to relax and enjoy the festivities.
Lifestyle Coordinator Diane Anderson said: “What a lovely time we had to sit in the sun and listen to the singer, then enjoy a lovely ice cream.”
The atmosphere throughout the day was described as “absolutely amazing”, with the highlight being “seeing the residents enjoying themselves.” Seeing residents laughing, making memories and sharing special moments with their families and the wider community made the day truly special.
The Summer Fete is an annual celebration at Park View and reflects the strong sense of community within the home. The team would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the event such a wonderful success.
