Residents, relatives and staff at Alexandra House care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together for a spectacular Taste of India.
The event celebrated the rich traditions of Indian culture through a selection of authentic food, music, traditional dancing, and games.
The celebration was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from those who attended. One Alexandra House resident shared, “What an amazing night, seeing the Indian culture through their food, clothes, dancing and music.” A member of staff added, “It was such a fun night and lovely seeing everybody coming together to celebrate this beautiful culture.”
Bringing everyone together to celebrate one of the many cultures represented within the home highlighted the importance of inclusion and diversity. The event not only provided an evening of fun and entertainment but also encouraged meaningful conversations between residents, relatives and staff.
The Taste of India celebration was a fantastic success, leaving everyone with lasting memories and a greater appreciation of the traditions that make the Alexandra House community so wonderfully diverse.
