Residents of Windmill House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, along with staff, family and friends came together to celebrate Yvonne’s 106th birthday.
The Windmill House front room was beautifully decorated for the occasion, with photographs showcasing resident Yvonne’s life from her younger years to the present day. Yvonne’s daughter, Liz, made a beautiful birthday cake, adding another extra personal touch to the celebrations.
Yvonne also received a special birthday card from the King and Queen, making the occasion even more memorable. The celebrations were made even more exciting with a special appearance from Elvis, who entertained everyone with music and singing. Windmill House residents and staff joined in, enjoying a wonderful morning of dancing.
One of the most touching moments came when Yvonne became emotional with tears of joy, thanking everyone for making her birthday so special.
The celebration was warmly received by those who attended, with one Windmill House resident commenting, “Such a wonderful celebration for a very special lady.”
Yvonne’s daughter, Liz, also shared her appreciation, saying, “It was a fabulous party. Mum enjoyed it so much. Thank you to all staff and residents who made it so special. Same time, same place next year!”
